Guess Who’s Back?

The entrepreneur, founder and inspiration behind Starbuck’s massive empire has retaken his throne. Howard Schultz, who grew up in subsidized housing projects in Brooklyn, is the one responsible for turning the Seattle based coffee-bean roaster into a global brand. Schultz has not run the company’s day-to-day operations in eight years. He’ll be replacing Jim Donald, who ran the coffee giant for less than three years.

What this means for the company, nobody knows. If the stock is any showing of future performance, then the 9.3% increase after the news broke means only good things to come.
