Word-of-Mouth & Client Referrals Tops In New Client Acquisitions for Small Businesses

After SalesConx, an online marketplace for business referrals, recently surveyed 700 small business owners, there were a number of interesting results. The highlights of which are below.

Referral and wordofmouth account for nearly 50% of all new business for surveyed small business owners, however, only 9% are using online lead generation.

 

With ROI a large concern for many small businesses, there is significant reluctance (57%) among survey respondents to try new ways of growing their business. Meanwhile, nearly 40% rely on new business to drive 50% or more of their revenues.
